SBC created these trail marker signs for the Clinton River Trail. The 16-mile Clinton River Trail passes through five cities in the middle of Oakland County: Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Pontiac and Sylvan Lake. It is a portion of a longer series of trails that will ultimately connect east to west across southern Michigan.
To increase the longevity of these multi-dimensional signs, they were fabricated in aluminum, then painted to give a rust-colored patina in order to blend into their surroundings. In addition, the bases are finished in a cultured stone to further blend with the natural surroundings.
During fabrication, members of the Friends of the Clinton River Trail (FCRT) stopped by the factory to see the project. the FCRT is a volunteer organization working to develop and improve the trail for all users. More information on FCRT is available at www.clintonrivertrail.org
