The Wagon Wheel American Grill and Bowling on 7888 E. Grand River has been a Portland, Michigan business since 1947. The owners of the Wagon Wheel, Chopper and his wife Jonda, contacted Signs by Crannie in the hopes that we could design and build a custom monument sign that would encompass all that the Wagon Wheel has to offer its customers. They are a bowling alley, banquet center and restaurant that also has baseball diamonds!
The design team at Signs by Crannie went to work on incorporating bowling into the design of the sign and came up with a design that includes an aluminum bowling pin 9 feet tall that can be seen from a long distance. While flat on both sides, we used digital graphics on the bowling pin to give it the appearance of being round.
The addition of 2×8′ Watchfire electronic message centers on both sides of the sign gives the Wagon Wheel the ability to promote bowling and softball leagues, games, night bowling, dinner specials, gift cards, and events in their banquet facility.
