Sonoma Lake, Vineyards of Naples, FL

Signs by Crannie in Florida was approached by the Housing Association Committee of Sonoma Lake, a residential community within The Vineyards of Naples, Florida, to update their entrance sign. The original sign looked dated and did not accurately represent the fine homes within the Sonoma Lake community. More importantly the original sign was non-conforming since it no longer met current Collier County building code set-backs.

General Manager Steve Flynn of the Signs by Crannie facility in Fort Myers first met with the HOA committee members and then with Collier County Growth Management Division to seek a solution that would be acceptable to the county and meet the expectations of the residents of Sonoma Lake.

Flynn’s design captured all of the elements that the residents wanted. He surprised them with the addition of an abstract art element representing waves of the lake. The overall feel of the refurbished sign is warm and inviting, more visible at night, and will save the Sonoma Lake community about 75% of the cost to light the sign.
