Archways and gateways provide a branded entrance to your stadium, playing field, mall, or even your city. See the many examples below of the ones we’ve installed.

Signs by Crannie has designed, manufactured and installed archways and gateways for cities, municipalities and schools in Michigan, Florida and across the United States. The designs are as unique as the destinations they represent.

At the beginning of the design phase we work with our customers to turn their idea into reality. In some cases we work with an architect or a 3rd party designer to manufacture an archway or gateway to their design. This is important because some concepts need modifications to strengthen the sign. At the same time we work closely with the local municipality to insure the archway or gateway will meet all local building codes.

While every archway and gateway is unique, typically the upright supports and span are made of steel welded and bolted for maximum strength and support. Once the frame is constructed, the uprights and span of the gateway or archway can be decorated with real or faux brick columns, laser-cut steel or aluminum signage, or other decorative features.

Depending on the size of the project, the main steel structure for the archway or gateway may be installed by a steel fabrication company. For larger signs, the footings and electrical may be completed by a 3rd party. Signs by Crannie project managers work closely with these sub-contractors to verify every detail of our mechanical drawings are met at every step of the construction process. This minimizes delay and insures that our signage fits perfectly.

The time from conception to completion for an archway or gateway is typically 4 to 6 months depending on the complexity and the location.  Costs can range from $4,000 to $400,000 depending on size and complexity. Archways and gateways can be leased with a low-initial cost. For more information, contact us today.
